Perry, the 2006 Republican nominee for Georgia Attorney General, proudly maintains a common-sense, fair and balanced judicial philosophy. He served in the state Senate from 1993-1996 as the first Republican Senator from his home district Carroll, Douglas Counties). He continues to believe that judges should interpret the laws, not create them from the bench.

	Perry comes from five generations of Georgians. He graduated from Mitchell County High School, Valdosta State University and Georgia State College of Law.

	Perry, his wife, Lauren, and their four children are members of First Baptist Church of Douglasville, where he teaches Sunday School.
